A common problem for homeowners and commercial property owners is that the contractor provided a steel lintel over the garage door or other opening that was too light to support brick veneer above. The common result of this mistake, is sagging of the steel lintel, which creates cracking and distortion of the brick veneer above. There may also be problems with steel members that were undersized, improperly connected or have deteriorated because of corrosion.
